Cleveland hip-hop artist gives back this holiday season
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS – Double “O” Promotions and hip-hop artist Caine are teaming up to sponsor a holiday toy drive benefiting needy children in Northeast Ohio.
“Caine’s Winter Wonderland Toy Drive” and charity event will be held on Sunday Dec. 11th from 8pm-1 am at the Grog Shop located at 2785 Euclid Heights Blvd in Cleveland Heights.
“Its always a good thing to do positive things in the community. I always want to give back whether it’s through feeding the needy, cleaning up the community, or raising awareness about issues that are important to me. I remember growing up and not being able to have a lot o f things I wanted so if creating this toy drive will help put a smile on a kid’s face, I’m all for it” stated CAINE, founder of the event. “I’m trying to reach out to all of the people not only in the hip-hop community but anybody that can just donate a toy. Stop by and hear some great music. We are doing this for the kids.”
Caine is no stranger to giving back to the community. Last year, Caine helped to feed over 300 homeless individuals for Thanksgiving by donating turkeys, hams, and chickens to a local food pantry where food was cooked and served at the Bishop Cosgrove Center. Caine has also adopted four kindergarten classes at Upson Elementary in Euclid and O.H. Perry in Cleveland this year and will distribute “Muffins and Mittens” to make sure the little ones have warm hands as the days get colder in Cleveland.
Special guest performances by DOC Showstoppaz, Maclyn Lucille, Mz Crazy Tee, Tezo, Big J, Bloc Kartel, Mookie Montonio, Izzrael, Skitso, Microwave Red, Bam, Kid Wrecker, Phenom, DHW Gang, Icealino, CJ Platinum, Chick da Flyest, and Vega.
