Multi-Platinum rapper DMX releases a behind-the-scenes look at his upcoming John Colombo directed music video for “I Don’t Dance,” featuring EST 19XX/Bad Boy/Interscope recording artist Machine Gun Kelly (MGK). The Jake Janisse produced behind-the-scenes video features commentary and antics from director John Colombo, DMX and MGK, along with Xzibit and longtime DMX collaborator, producer Dame Grease. The “I Don’t Dance” music video is the first look from DMX’s upcoming album Undisputed, whose summer release date will be announced soon.
DMX, a Grammy Awards nominee and American Music Awards winner, is currently on the VH-1 reality show Couples Therapy, which airs Wednesdays at 9PM. His success with past albums like …And Then There Was X (which featured the top-ten hit single “Party Up” and was certified platinum six times) made him the only musical artist in history to release five consecutive albums (his entire album catalog at the time) that debuted at number one on the Billboard charts.
Rapid-fire rapper MKG has also been heating up, winning mtvU’s 2012 Breaking Woodie award and MTV News’ 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC award, with songs featured by Verizon Wireless and WWE. MGK is keeping up momentum with the 2012 “Hostile Takeover” tour with Strange Music artist Tech N9ne – with 90 performances in 99 days, this tour will be the longest consecutive run in rap history. MGK’s Half Naked & Almost Famous EP is also already making an impact, with smash single “Wild Boy” spawning a #1 voted BET 106 & Park music video.
