Summary: Get in front of the top tastemakers at Ohio Hip Hop Awards Showcase Tour
The Ohio Hip Hop Awards & Music Conference honors the hard work and achievements of the state’s urban arts culture. Although Hip Hop is the conference’s primary focus, it promotes, celebrates, and embraces all forms of urban music & entertainment.
This coming June, the Ohio Hip Hop Awards “Summer Showcase Tour” (OHHA) will be hitting up 7 cities in Ohio, producing a widely publicized talent showcase competition. At these various tour stops, the OHHA will bring out local and regional music fans, radio personalities, and media to view the performances. The competition is evaluated by a panel of judges from the OHHA board, and various local and regional tastemakers that are relevant to each market. At the conclusion of the tour, OHHA will hold a live press conference streamed via their official website, where the acts with the top 5 scores from the entire competition are revealed to the public. These acts win a performance slot at the main event award show ceremony and concert in September, along with the added benefit of being built into the marketing of the main event – all flyers, posters, social media promotions, radio and TV commercials, and press releases. All second place runner-ups will be invited to perform at the OHHA’s official pre-party the day before the main event. Artists are allowed to compete in any one city of their choice, or in multiple cities/as many cities as they want.
The OHHA will guarantee one (1) ReverbNation artist a complimentary slot for the full tour (7 cities) and also guarantee two (2) other ReverbNation artists a complimentary slot for 1 city of their choosing. All artists who submit through ReverbNation, whether chosen or not, will get 2 complimentary tickets to attend any one tour event of their choosing.
Performance Details: Performances are 5 minutes each, and set up for track performaces will be provided including turntables, computer with USB inputs, and CD player. Live bands are allowed but will need to provide their own equipment to facilitate their performance. Each act also gets 20 tickets to every showcase they register for, which can be given to friends or family to attend & support them in the competition, or sold to fans for profit. Tickets have a value of $10 each, and any money made from tickets sold remains with the artists. [$200 value]
