50th Anniversary of a Dream




Today marks the 50th Anniversary of the march on Washington! Little known history facts about August 28th: In 1833 slavery was banned by the British Parliament throughout the British Empire | 1963 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, gave his “I Have A Dream” speech at a civil rights rally in Washington, D.C. More than 200, 000 people attended | 1955 Emmett Till was killed in Money, Mississippi | 2008 President Barack Obama delivered his acceptance speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention | 2013 President Obama delivers speech on Capitol Hill commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the Civil Rights March
